sitting on (possibly earlier) bracket feet

At some point a small metal protector has been put on each foot to stop the floor from being scratched (you can't see these unless you turn the bottom section upside down)

Antique chest of drawers Top: 46cm x 46cmA handsome, well made chair with turned and reeded legs, a channel running round the square backrest, caned seat in excellent order, untouched since coming from a country house (see below for provenance). I've been told it's quite Gillows in style, although there's no stamp. I'm not sure of exact date so will just say 19th century, although it certainly looks and feels early, and caned seats became popular at the end of the 18th century. Evidence of
