If for some reason you are playing primarily super top end with a lot of entirely colourless cards among them then Channel is a good support card to help you improve your odds on getting some of those things into play
The Mana Mana for the deck seems to be relatively consistent with seven mana rocks (Sol Ring, Dimir Signet, Mind Stone) but the curve itself is rather rough
If you pay the Awaken cost, you then put a number of +1/+1 counters equal to the awaken number of that spell onto a land you control, and that land becomes a 0/0 Elemental creature with haste that it still a land
Meren of Clan Nel Toth can particularly make Spore Frog into a headache by bringing it back during every turn
Both of these Pokmon can make great use of Triple Acceleration Energy, and Im sure that creative deck builders will try to make them work
I didnt hate Thoughtseize because my weapon of choice in those days was the Michael Jacob style of Red Deck Wins with Demigod of Revenge and Figure of Destiny, meaning even if they took the most powerful card in my deck (Demigod) I could just get it right back
