Payne Model 198 Bamboo Rod 7'6" 3/2 #5 Salmon and Steelhead Rods I built this rod aroundFor sale here is a Payne Model 198 bamboo rod. Excellent overall condition. 7 1 2 feet. Three piece rod with two tips. The rod weighs 3 3 4 oz, consistent with the weight noted on the original hang tag. Cap and ring reel seat over a spanish cedar spacer. A classic Jim Payne era rod with the "Sold by Abercrombie & Fitch Co." die stamp on the butt cap, along with the Payne die stamp. There's a date of 1938 on the hang tag. The grip has been cleaned and
