Population size is always 40, sample size is the number of cards you see by turn N (6+N on the play, 7+N on the draw), successes in population is # of lands in deck (15-19), and successes in sample is just N

Both are pretty standard card advantage engines, though they go about earning you value in very different ways

If you have fetchlands, you can trigger the effect multiple times a turn, causing massive burn with extra copies

The saving grace is that it probably wouldnt get played that much anyway, so we could give it some leeway

Getting a free extra creature each turn without counting as your spell is also pretty good for Type Four
