They alight like small butterflies amongst the foliage

Salix nakamurana var yezoalpina, Creeping Alpine Willow clay-tolerant They alight like small butterfliesMany willows have come and gone, but this wonderful creature remains a favorite for us with prostrate, thick, exfoliating branches, 2 inch, rounded, leathery leaves that are silken when young, and showy, upright 2 inch tall pussy willows. From rocky slopes of Hokkaido, Japan, you'll prevent homesickness (and homesickness in a plant is not pretty) by using it in the rock garden, as a ground cover on a bank, or by letting it cascade over a large pot.
