This is the perfect deck for any fan of Lord of the Rings who also enjoys playing Magic the Gathering

Since casting a card with retrace from the graveyard moves that card onto the stack, no one else would have the chance to affect it while it's still in the graveyard

Limited games of Magic are better with "smoothing," or the ability to control your draws so you are less subject to variance

It is not unlike many of the variable mana cost mechanisms like kicker or level up, all of which are good in the same regard however it has this elegance that the others lack that really gives it aesthetic appeal

And that's just the obvious homes that make sense to me
