This is a later vise with an angled rotating handle and cork insert in the base. Part of the beauty of the vise is in its simple design. There is one knob to tighten the jaws and one to tighten the rotation. This is a fully rotating vise and in axis and parallel to the hook shank. The vise is incredibly smooth
