In fact, it was watching Wizards employees struggle at the employee Prerelease that led us to rethink our approach to complexity, something Matt Place and I originally called the New World Order (here's my article on it)
Could you imagine this mechanic in todays game
It merely cares that your opponent is getting lands onto the battlefield without using their normal land plays to do it
"It happened in the past and can't happen again" is no reason not to put the story moment on a card, outside of "We just don't want it to happen" which is not a side you can argue against
Then, once you wipe the board, your opponents lose one life when each of your creatures die, and then you gain a life when one of your opponents creatures die
To make matters worse, Lorcana doesnt quite have the card library to properly accommodate this strategy yet
