Japan produces an enormous variety of promotional cards through: Pokemon Center distributions: Cards given away at Pokemon Centers during specific events Tournament prizes: Cards awarded to competitive players Magazine inserts: Exclusive cards included with CoroCoro Magazine and other publications Movie promos: Cards distributed at Pokemon movie screenings Anniversary and commemoration cards: Special releases for milestones Many of these promos are produced in very limited quantities and have become extremely valuable
