Saddle Shields, Era Unknown Button please see the 2 very

please see the 2 very symmetrical casting voids on each side of the teat

Dirt is still in the cavity

The patina is an extra nice lite white colour

This is the harder one to find with an uncut nose & deeper cavity

Here’s one I bet many M&M collectors don’t have

Saddle Shields, Era Unknown Button please see the 2 veryHere are a couple saddle shields I had listed at TennesseeLead a couple years ago but I removed because I could not tell you they were from the civil war eraI still cant. I have kept my eyes open & these shields do pop up from time to time. A very similar shield can be found at Virginia Civil War Relics under misc. excavated items that is stamped with a 3. These shields may not be CW but they do not appear to be fakes. Any info you provide I will list
