LARGE 'HOTEL MEURICE, PARIS' SERVING TRAY Miscellaneous They were repainted in aBeautiful, large French silverplate serving tray from the renown 'Hotel Meurice, Paris'. It bears the Hotel Motto of a Greyhound, Crown and Sword. Over the years, Le Meurice has often been referred to as Hotel des Rois (Hotel of Kings), due to its many royal guests. In 1855, HM Queen Victoria stayed with there on her official state visit to Paris and, in her honour, the entire first floor was renovated. In 1898, the hotels new owner Arthur Million
