Eliana: Here we go
The card wins games, simple as that
This past Tuesday, Wizards of the Coast took to their weekly Twitch stream to announce, among many things, the details regarding the newest Booster pack coming to Magic the Gathering, the Beyond Booster
I wonder how this plays out when I compare it to the Black Lotus for the masses, Gilded Lotus (5 Tap: Add three mana of any one color to your mana pool.) This is hard to setup: you need to spend four mana to equip a creature, then the creature needs to deal damage mid game to your opponent-which means that an unblockable or Trample creature will do the trick best
It taps for green like a simple Forest would, but its channel ability makes it a main-deck answer to artifacts, enchantments, and nonbasic landsall at instant speed
They won't be available with this release, but we'll have more information on how you can obtain these lands and other showcase card styles in a future update.) Theros Beyond Death also heralds the return of Sagas, devotion, and constellation to Standard play, as well as the addition of the new keyword escape
