Pros: Very fun and rewarding mechanic for new players to learn

Of course its always fun to own the first of something, but it also helps that this versions art is iconic, having been referenced in both Gifts Given and Realms Uncharted

The former provides boosts to its controllers 2/2s, giving even weak vanilla and Disguised Creatures the ability to overpower opponents

One card is the Commander, and they can be deployed at key moments to boost the abilities of other cards, or for their own impact

For me the only downside is the extra information gathered when I saw the burning towers on the Richard Wright Ravnica Mountain that told me my opponent was netdecking and playing something theyd copied from the internet

Booster packs typically contain five cards, with the first three guaranteed to be Diamond rares
