That could push it to playability
I understand why arcane spells (and splice onto arcane, particularly) are seen as parasitic mechanics that dont work outside of a specific block, but I still wish there were some replacement for them
Being able to build a good hand quickly undoubtedly provides a sense of security for the rest of the game
For a deceptively low mana cost, it forces an opponent to discard their entire handan effect so oppressive that Mind Twist has long been restricted or outright banned in various formats
It's not all that surprising, considering Gengar is one of the most popular Gen 1 Pokemon, and has been a big hitter from the early days (Fossil, Skyridge, Neo Destiny) and even in more recent sets (Team Up, Phantom Forces.) Although Gengar appears to be unleashing a devastating attack, showcasing his menacing and threatening nature, when you look closely, it looks like all he is pulling in is berries and other food
The Wedding Announcement card asks you to place a counter on the card and if you are attacked with two or more creatures in a turn, you can draw a card (White draw potential, unheard of!)
