Im very happy to support this local buisness instead of having to spend tons of money on Amazon

The pandemic has skewed things a little bit though as these events have been replaced by midweek events

Most notably it was just the best end-game you could build your deck towards, but its not clear that is really the case anymore as there are cards like Nexus of Fate that can go much bigger

Looking back over this thread, it feels like this "archetype" is more like Wildfire than anything else it doesn't necessarily create a new deck, it just transforms one that was already there by giving it an alternate way to go off

Sometimes youll get a weird combination, like a Gideon planeswalker attacking as a creature card with +1/+1 counters and loyalty counters, and you can double both

But as Pioneer's own card pool grows larger, Standard cards have a harder time shining there once they rotate
