It has various abilities that you can choose from as long as they haven't been chosen yet

However, it has the unique ability of flipping cards face up when you play lands

Even just the freedom to call off a combo attempt in the face of interaction or fizzling and conserve any remaining mana for a future re-attempt is a huge shift in the paradigm for these archetypes

This deck makes a lot of tokens, so the Staff will be a pretty consistent way to draw extra cards

The Through the Ages cards can put a real spanner in the works for this, and I love spanners in the works
