In decks like Ad Nauseam + Tendrils, the card is used either to get enough storm count by drawing free spells or to find your Tendrils of Agony win condition
No matter which side of that coin your deck falls on (and lets be honest, its often both) youre going to want a little help from Thassa, Deep-Dwelling
That means Fogs, protection, and anything else that might not misbecome the mighty sender
I wonder how this plays out when I compare it to the Black Lotus for the masses, Gilded Lotus (5 Tap: Add three mana of any one color to your mana pool.) This is hard to setup: you need to spend four mana to equip a creature, then the creature needs to deal damage mid game to your opponent-which means that an unblockable or Trample creature will do the trick best
Too many times, the games either just ran out of control or the Slivers were pounded into oblivion
It might do nothing until you station it, but if you can spare a dork, 3+ charge counters is easy to achieve
