Most combination decks had at least one card they couldn't win without, many had multiples and even the cards they could win without could slow things down quite a bit
Joshua, Phoenixs Dominant We didnt have Joshua, Phoenixs Dominant on our Best Constructed Final Fantasy cards list, but theres a chance it should be on there
Missy comes with an added bonus during the end phase that can either let you draw cards and make chaos ensue (though the latter is only relevant if you're playing with Planechase) or your artifact creatures deal one damage to an opponent
Upgrade Goals Based on our analysis of the deck I will focus on the following upgrade goals: Enhance our Politics theme Enhance our Elf theme Swap our card draw for better options Add another board wipe if able Remove any card that doesn't fit our Politics / Elves themes or are thematic but too weak The way I upgrade the precon changes heavily between the LOTR-only upgrade section and the regular upgrade section: the LOTR-only section will enhance our Elf theme without much enhancing Politics because there's no real political cards to add from the main set
If youre happy to play digitally - which most people are after the last year - then the set is already out on Magic Online
