Its always been a deck that Ive struggled to categorize in terms of power level because it can get out to explosive starts with cards like Urzas Saga, Akiri, Line-Slinger, and Cranial Plating, but it also loses HORRIBLY to Vandalblast and Farewell
We tried out the three starter decks releasing at launch, and they each had distinct strategies based on their ink color
So to recap, your flicker payoff commander needs to have: Access to white or blue in its color identity (ideally both) A mana cost that is as low as possible, ideally not exceeding 6 mana Minimal or zero setup for collecting our flicker effects payoff An effect that creates the best possible payoff when using our flicker spells Ready to see which commanders have the payoffs best suited to lead your flicker deck to victory
It's a very confused deck, not sure if it wants to be a blink deck or a control deck
heres a card that serves a similar function, but is still live against control and combo
the average mana value is 4.16, which is the highest weve seen in a preconstructed deck in quite some time
