Normally, this would be useless to us, because if something like Master of Waves entered the battlefield and we attempted to Glamerdye it, the triggered ability on the stack would still care about our devotion to blue

If an effect would put one or more counters on a permanent you control, it puts twice that many of those counters on that permanent instead. This is basically the perfect card for a Ghave, Guru of Spores deck, but it works in every +1/+1 counter deck too

Thats a terrible plan even in formats that dont get as salty at mass land destruction as todays Commander

Now, Abundant Harvest can find you a land in the early parts of the game, but its also guaranteed to find a spell if you happen to have enough lands already
