mtg double sided cards rules ironfang How do double-sided cards work

4 Fall Of The Thran Fall Of The Thran is a Saga that will destroy all the lands in the first chapter and then let each player put two lands back on the battlefield during the second and third ones

This keeps them on the back-foot and dancing to your tune until you're ready to deploy characters with 'Evasive' (meaning they can't be challenged unless the other card has Evasive too)

The extort mechanic is especially effective when you have multiple opponents

My idea was for a series of cards that if you put them in your deck, you could just choose to have them in your opening hand

Cards like Possibility Storm, Grip of Chaos, or Warp World dont just make it harder for opponents to think ahead: They make it essentially impossible since they completely randomize several aspects of the game

Thats why Im pleased that Vivi Ornitier from Final Fantasy IX is currently making the Standard format so miserable that they might have to ban the little guy
