A note: Not all cards in the set are Trainers Pokmon cards
The First Chapter Sapphire/Steel A Steadfast Strategy While Set 2s Tactical Teamwork Starter Deck offers a portion of Sapphires draw engine, this one offers the cards youll need to ramp your Inkwell
Najal, the Storm Runner Five mana is a hard way to flash out sorceries, even for Limited
Rooftop Storm has some obvious Frankenstein vibes, but it couldn't actually be about Frankenstein as that monster was already printed in one of Magic's earliest expansions
Card not found is very efficient manawise, but is somewhat fragile and potentially very costly
What I came up with is that purple takes one spell effect from each of the other non-green colors: from white - enchantment removal (worse than white) from red - direct damage (worse than red) from blue - countermagic (exclusive) from black - edicting (exclusive) If purple had been around from the beginning, it would definitely have at least one exclusive ability, so blue doesn't get any countermagic at all in this set
