Looking at this card, it's definitely a little creepy and unsettling, but when you really look at it, and when you understand the lore behind how someone is taken over and converted by Phyrexian Oil, then it becomes far more terrifying - essentially, we see some poor soul trapped beneath Elesh Norn's iconic mask, eyes widened in absolute terror, as their body is taken over
(If a creature with a finality counter on it would die, exile it instead.) You still pay all costs and obey timing restrictions when casting Hundred-Battle Veteran from your graveyard with the permission from its last ability
The ability to trade a few life or an early creature for card advantage can easily swing game momentum in your favor
