What has made Animar such a staple of the format is just how open ended the design is
The commander of this deck, Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients, lets you create a 5/4 Dragon spirit token every time he is dealt damage, but sadly whenever that dragon deals damage it must be sacrificed
We run auras that will give him Infect so we should be able to get a kill here or there, and we should also be able to develop a respectable if not overwhelming boardstate
Counter Blitz Collector's Edition contains 4 punch-out counter cards and 6 double-sided surge foil tokens
He also works great in Aristocrat decks, due to his life gain, +1/+1 counters, and incredibly low WB mana cost
The sacrifice package matters for the mid-to-late game, when attacking becomes less reliable
