Stick this in decks that go wide and go tall: Rishkar, Peema Renegade, who distributes counters like Oprah Hamza, Guardian of Arashin, who cares about creature power and discounts spells Selvala, Heart of the Wilds to ramp and draw in glorious green greed Conclave Mentor to bulk up and pad your hand The one-per-turn clause stops the abuse, but it still gives you free cardboard just for doing what Green does best: grow
Mondrak is reasonably costed, its very effective to build around, and having this doubling effect available in the command zone brings great consistency to a token strategy
Whenever you roll a 6, create a 2/2 black Zombie Employee creature token
This design encourages players to think critically about when they Mutate rather than always do so, making it more skill-intensive but accordingly harder to play with
2mv ramp is especially potent in a deck with a commander that costs four mana, since these cards allow you to reliably play 4mv cards a turn ahead of schedule
