Athreos, God of Passage Often used in decks that focus on sacrificing creatures for various benefits, such as triggering death effects or gaining life, Athreos is a legendary enchantment creature with a casting cost of 1 colorless, 1 white, and 1 black mana

At a current market price of $0.85, it is a mandatory inclusion for budget-conscious green players who need a reliable safety net against unexpected threats

My problems with it are that it has a high mana value, so that upkeep trigger wont always be all that impactful, and the activated ability also hits your own creatures

You can include this as background for a deck with a succinct Voltron strategy looking to reduce life totals by combat damage like Alora, Merry Thief or Gut, True Soul Zealot
