With the huge amount of thinning the archetype already has I have not found it to be a problem at all playing seemingly heavy land counts in green ramp decks
First chapter is a solid removal spell, while the others give you an extra card from the top of your library, and it ends with 6 free mana
In older formats, red prison decks blur the line between midrange and control, using rituals to play expensive and prohibitive effects early to tax an opponent before whittling their life away
Different Decks, same strategy What I was most proud about with this list was just how well tuned it was until the printing of Creeping Chill, which significantly changed how the deck played out, the list essentially remained unchanged all the way
Even if you dont hit a haymaker, hitting a Sakura-Tribe Elder and a Magus of the Wheel, for example, is still pretty good
Youll want to stay flexible and be ready to pivot if the right pieces dont fall into place
