yugioh monster trap cards Starter Deck: Yugi Common Hole SDY-027 Yu-Gi-Oh! - Reverse Trap (SDY-047)

Card Text: Dark Cloak - Each of your Pokemon that has any D Energy attached to it has no Retreat Cost

This slight change completely changes the flavor of the mechanic, showing how even after death, the spirits of the plane linger, blessing their former friends and haunting their former enemies

By dropping their power, you force them to commit more precious counter cards, setting up for truly devastating turns when you attack with a buffed, swarmed board

This card is a real staple of +1/+1 counter decks and is always a welcome reprint in my eyes

If Thief of Existence is countered or otherwise leaves the stack in response to that triggered ability, the triggered ability will still resolve as normal

A good example of this is the Iron Jugulis, a Basic card with a 150-damage attack called Baryon Beam
