wizards of the coast pokemon booster box Anyone know what these are worth (five 1999 unopened packs)? : r/pokemoncardcollectors Pokemon Base Set Unlimited Booster

Were not one to pass up a shiny Charizard card, but in comparison to the staggering popularity of the the Yu-Gi-Oh trading cards game, it almost seems like an afterthought

At that time they cost me $2.95 and today, almost 20 years later in 2015, I paid about $11 bucks for each of these babies

Between that being the showcase frame treatment, and the lack of extra variants of each card, most of the variant versions of cards in this set will not have the usual bump in demand that these cards see

Theres also a whole mess of lore and story to the game, meaning that the team isnt just concerned with continually designing fresh mechanics

However, its high mana cost may make it less efficient compared to other cards like Frost Titan or Sphinx of Jwar Isle, which offer more versatile abilities for a similar cost
