Since Tragic Slip is an instant and Commander a multiplayer format, creatures will be dying left and right of you, so you can always count on that Morbid ability
But who exactly is looking to regenerate elephants
While this is a serious restriction on the mechanic (itd be much more powerful if you got a benefit every time you played a spell), this restriction allows cards to be more aggressively costed
While X spells don't always thrive there, given the prevalence of "cast without paying its mana cost" effects that like to cast them for zero, many consider ElectrodominanceElectrodominance worth the risk because it allows you to burn an opponent out with all the mana you've acquired from your rituals, then tack another spell on to continue the process for others
Meanwhile, if possible, it's usually best to try to cast Tainted Indulgence and Thirst for Discovery during our opponent's turn since either one will draw us at least two cards, triggering all of our payoffs
Evil flavor win aside, Id struggle to find a home for this unless I was specifically trying to play opponents cards
