The exact capabilities of Custodes aren't spelled out in detail, but I thought that Custodes also needed their own creature type
I personally prefer Dowsing Machine over Computer Search because it often gives me that extra copy of a certain card that I wouldnt normally have like Tool Scrapper, Silver Mirror, or Pokmon Catcher which is why I chose it over Computer Search

What I mean is, I see tons of cards that would be worth buying, grading and seeing the value double or triple just by grading, but theres so many options in this category right now and I have a limited amount of cash to spend that I have to be selective with what I decide to buy based on what I think is the most optimal option
