A good deck contains a mix of: Pokmon cards (usually between 15 and 20 pieces) Energy cards (15 to 20 pieces, depending on your Pokmon type) Trainer cards (25 to 30 pieces, such as Items, Supporters and Stadiums) Helpful tips when you start: Build your deck around one or two types of Pokmon (for example, Water and Psychic)
100 Energy cards to add to your collection for deck building Has fewer booster packs than most boxes The booster packs might not offer enough cards to build a good deck The Trainer's Toolkit 2023 is a popular product, and with good reason: it features a strong collection of cards along with the powerful Arceus V line
Sure, you might gain a few points of life here and there with cards like Volcanic Spite or Shatter the Source , but that won't help you control the board or win the game
Furthermore, it makes interaction difficult for opponents because they have to sacrifice a Food to target it, meaning that any creature or actual Food tokens must be used - but this also buffs Ygra before the interaction spell resolves, as the effect goes first on the stack
If you choose to have this happen, you can copy the spell you cast and choose new targets for the copy
