By the time you get down to a mono-color Commander, youre missing out on whole families of effects outside your slice of the color pie
You can see the full gallery below: Today's reveal also shows off some special features of the set, including Summons, a part of Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can call upon for aid in battle (see Summon: Shiva in the gallery)
Unless I'm mistaken, Markov Baron is the only card with both madness and convoke, so when your mana is tapped out and you're faced with a Mind Rot or need to crack a blood token, three creatures can save this baron, it's sweet
With these Enchanted cards plus the standard and foil variants of the others, there are a total of 420 available cards for The First Chapter, not including the non-playable oversized foils included in some gift sets
The face commander of the set is an alt-art reprint of Rin and Seri, inseparable, one of the most popular Commanders of all time, and the natural choice for a Cat and Dog creature deck
