arcanine pokemon card 1999 First Edition I've had this for as long as I can remember but somebody said it's not real ? : r/PokemonCardValue pokemon WoTC Promo Arcanine Arcanine 1999 Pokemon Game #23

Control wants the game to go long

Being able to manipulate the planar die is really cool and useful, especially in a deck with other effects that care about it like the always excellent Fractured Powerstone

With Ivy Lane Denizen out on the battlefield, cast and resolve Herd Baloth

Rarity aside, the Topaz Bolt ability is a ridiculously powerful attack dealing 300 points of damage for only 3 energy cost

various control decks play Snapcaster Mage, and even non-graveyard decks like Counters Company (which uses Eternal Witness), Death's Shadow (Gurmag Angler), and Jund (Tarmogoyf) have at least some cards that are powered up by their graveyard

These can be excellent effects to weave into a toolbox-style deck
