Rivals of Ixalan (2018) brought a rare and a mythic rare, so both have a lot of potential, but are probably too hard to use to make it in Standard
Personally, I think its a fun and interesting way to play the game on an unusual axis, though I can see why players wouldnt like to see their beloved cards disappear before their eyes
In addition, theres also a super coveted card in the mix, with it being none other than the electric mouse, Pikachu, which also comes stamped with a special 25th Anniversary marking
The spelunking, cave-exploration, underground civilization setting of the main set isnt really present in the precons, but a return to Ixalan still demanded a check-in with the factions players expect to see there
The illusion ability has echoes of offspring, which probably isnt completely intentional, but still pretty great from a flavor perspective (as well as a deckbuilding perspective if you want to create plenty of ETB abilities or plan on going wide)
