Without Bargain, Torch the Tower is passable as a Shock spell, but if the player has spare Bargain fodder from Celebration-oriented cards like Hopeful Vigil or various Roles, then Torch the Tower becomes a better Lightning Bolt, which is saying a lot and lets the card scale up a bit in the mid-game
(9/19/2025) The creature you return must be tapped at the time you pay costs, but doesn't necessarily need to be tapped before you start casting the spell
Whenever a Land enters under your control, you can have a player lose three life
You get to grab three cards from your discard pile and even play your next card for two lessnow thats what a royal performance should look like
From there, if it dies it'll go to its owner's graveyard
Its hard to deal with the Slasher efficiently outside of exile-based removal, since it comes back with stun counters when it dies
