Think about what ramp you need, and where you need it to be in your curve, and build to that
It does what it needs to do very well, and being able to only leave one mana up and destroy any creature is something that most decks can do comfortably
Ironically, the most effective Decks from the game's earliest era contain few Pokmon as a result
By tapping your tokens and utility creatures, you can often cast this for a mere two or three mana, completely resetting your board after a wipe
These commanders are both sources of card advantage , making it easier to dig for the decks combo pieces
There is an alternate casting cost, but shaving a single mana off this card isnt worth allowing an opponent to filter away unwanted cards
